About
Leslie Wood is a mixed media artist based in Lacey’s Spring, Alabama, whose work explores visual storytelling through saturated color, layered texture, and intuitive mark-making. With a background in engineering and formal studies in photography, sculpture, and painting at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, her work is shaped by both structure and experimentation. Rooted in art journaling, her process often begins in sketchbooks before evolving onto canvas, incorporating upcycled materials and expressive surfaces. Wood teaches art journaling and mixed media workshops and is a featured artist in Stampington’s ART Journaling magazine, as well as Art Director of Expressions for the nonprofit Little Orange Fish.
